Hororata Historical Society

Established in the 1970s, the Society was formed to foster knowledge of the history of Hororata and surrounding districts. We do this by caring for the historic cob cottage, and by preserving early records and objects which relate to the history of Hororata and surrounding districts. The Society welcomes new members, especially those with an interest in local history, and a passion for conserving our heritage.
