The purpose of the Hororata Historical Society is to collect, preserve, research, share, and exhibit objects that illustrate and record the natural and cultural history of Hororata and its surrounding districts. The Society is also responsible for the maintenance of the historic Cotons' Cottage and site, in collaboration with Heritage New Zealand. The Society is a registered Charity, and an Incorporated Society.
We welcome new members and volunteers. Annual Subscriptions are just $20 per year. In return, you will receive a quarterly newsletter, invitations to Society meetings and events, and the opportunity to get involved in preserving local history.

Meetings
The Hororata Historical Society meets on the last Monday of every second month, in the Hororata Museum. Meetings are open to all members of the Society, and new members are always welcome. |
